Yoga Bears Kids Yoga runs weekly kids yoga incursions for childcare centres, kindys and early learning services across Townsville, from North Shore, Burdell and the northern beaches through Aitkenvale and Kirwan to Annandale and Douglas. A trained Yoga Bears teacher visits your centre and leads playful yoga for children from 6 months to 6 years.

Childcare Yoga Across Townsville

On hot afternoons and through the wet season, outdoor play often has to move inside. Townsville centres use Yoga Bears to give children a full indoor movement session that burns off energy and then settles the room. Our teachers come to you and work around your rest times and daily routine. Northshore Central at North Shore is one of our Townsville partner centres.

What Happens in a Session

Children move through animal poses, yoga stories, songs and movement games, then practise simple breathing and finish with a short relaxation. Programs are matched to age, from Baby Bears (6 months to 1 year) through to Mighty Bears (5 to 6 years), so kindy children build the focus and self regulation they need for prep.
